- The spectral
transmission curve in the brochure represents output with a liquid
light guide which limits transmission to above 270nm.
- The precision
coated elliptical mirror in the h200 lamp housing will fully reflect
250 - 550nm. The coating on the elliptical mirror eliminates infrared
heat transmission, furthermore an optical filter-holder is built-in
to the hypercure to accommodate optional band-pass filters and
cold filters.
- The 200 watt
high pressure Hg-Xe lamp outputs above 250nm with spectral peaks
at 310, 365, 410, and 435nm.
- For high-output
intensity in the 254 - 310nm range a quartz or high grade fused
silica light guide is recommended (for square area exposure a
quartz integrator is recommended).
- The intensity
output of the lamp over its lifetime remains above 80% with an
estimated lifetime of 1000 hrs.
- Fiber optic
light guides may be bundled with specific or random fiber patterns
for particular applications.
- Intensity
output significantly decreases as the distance between the sample
and light output point increases.
- Intensity
output with the uniform area exposure adaptor will increase with
a reduction in the exposure area.
- Precise distance
must be maintained for intensity uniformity:
